For example, practice premises are often rented when a doctor or tax advisor opens a practice alone or with only a few employees
Rent
Large practice complexes are also often rented if this offers advantages over purchasing. One advantage of renting is, for example, the relative flexibility. As with commercial properties in general, a term is often agreed in the rental contract for practices. This can be five to ten years, but also less.
Purchase
Buying a practice is a far-reaching financial decision, whether it is a small practice property or a large practice building. As with other real estate properties, the financing should therefore be planned in detail. Depending on the practice property, the premises can be purchased as an investment property for the future or for your own use. This depends largely on the location and whether the practice may be used as residential space under certain circumstances. It is not uncommon, for example, for groups of practitioners to purchase and operate a practice property together.
