Fewer apprentices and more students? A university degree is not always the best choice for starting a career! Depending on the field you want to pursue, it may be more helpful to opt for vocational training. In a dual apprenticeship as a real estate agent, the direct practical relevance and experience in the future working world can be more advantageous.
about the training
On average, training to become a real estate agent takes three years. However, under certain conditions, trainees have the option of shortening their training to two or two and a half years in consultation with their company. Reasons for this may include a high school diploma (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife), good performance in training, or previous professional experience. Training as a real estate agent is generally dual in nature. Trainees are trained at a vocational school and at their training company. The vocational school imparts theoretical knowledge that can then be applied in practice at the company. More information
Our first trainee
The past three years have been very exciting for both sides, as it was a new but shared experience for everyone involved. Maxi Schüller integrated into the team very quickly from the start of her training, which was very important to us personally. After all, it is only when the team works well together and in harmony that the company can grow and achieve its common goals. As the years of training have progressed, so too have her areas of responsibility.
The combination of theory at vocational school and practical experience within the company has worked very well for us. Over time, it has therefore been possible to assign her increasingly important tasks, giving her greater responsibility. The training has been a win-win situation for both sides, which is why we look back on our collaboration with great satisfaction.
We are glad that our trust has paid off and are particularly pleased about the positive development and look forward to continuing to work together!
"As entrepreneurs, we have a social responsibility and want to make our contribution in the form of apprenticeships. In addition, training young talent gives us long-term security in terms of skilled workers and increases our competitiveness in the industry. We are therefore particularly pleased that our first apprentice has found her way into professional life at our company. We wish Ms. Schüller every success and thank her for three great years of training." - Uwe Mortag
"I felt very comfortable at Larbig & Mortag Immobilien right from the start, as everyone in the team welcomed me with open arms. My direct contact was Marleen Biermann, who taught me a lot and was always available to answer my questions. I really liked the opportunity to go on some independent viewings with customers during my first year of training, which allowed me to take on responsibility right from the start. This gave me the chance to develop both personally and professionally. I am now looking forward to starting my career as a real estate agent at Larbig & Mortag Immobilien!” – Maxi Schüller
