The three partners are combining their strengths and establishing a "Retail NRW" competence cluster in the area of retail and restaurant space leasing, thereby further strengthening the region. With this step, conceptstories now offers its customers a comprehensive, supraregional service. Whether in Cologne, Bonn, Düsseldorf, the Ruhr area or the towns and communities in between, conceptstories has the largest coverage in North Rhine-Westphalia. The aim is to support institutional landlords with in-depth expertise in the event of a vacancy, whether in a B or prime location. At the same time, the start-up scene in the region will be helped to find premises and chain stores will be supported in their expansion. Particular attention is being paid to the catering sector. Here, conceptstories aims to be one of the few specialist consultants, acting as an interface between architects, advertising agencies, local authorities, and the beverage industry.
The founders are particularly pleased to welcome Radu-George Moldovan, who has been established in the retail sector for many years, specializing in restaurant leasing, and can draw on extensive experience. Since the company was founded, he has not only supported the day-to-day business of conceptstories Immobilien, but has also played a key role in setting up the company structures. Thanks to the transfer of his wealth of experience to a young and dynamic team of six, it will be possible to serve and strengthen the entire market in North Rhine-Westphalia in the future.
The launch of conceptstories Immobilien was deliberately chosen during a difficult and changing market phase in order to shape the upheaval in this segment and to face the opportunities, new tasks, and challenges together with our customers.
"The decisive factor was the successful establishment of our retail department in Cologne. As our customers in this sector often operate on a national level, we want to offer them a platform. This is how the idea for conceptstories came about. To offer customers comprehensive advice in North Rhine-Westphalia while ensuring the widest possible coverage of retail locations," says Uwe Mortag, Managing Director of conceptstories.

Unlike office leasing, retail leasing is not a "niche business" and can be covered centrally from one location for a larger region. Many owners have properties spread across the whole of North Rhine-Westphalia. On the tenant side, franchise companies are already searching within large radius, which means we can serve both customer groups. Good employees are also hard to find, making the establishment of a central competence center another positive aspect," says Markus Büchte from CUBION.
Knud Schaaf from imovo points to the historic upheaval currently affecting the retail sector: "The change is not only affecting retail space in prime locations, but also relevant district locations that are commonly referred to as secondary locations.
