B2Run on September 5, 2019: An unforgettable run covering a distance of 5.4 kilometers around the RheinEnergieStadion and ending inside the stadium requires great team spirit from all participating companies.
The B2Run brand was founded in Munich in 2004 and is Germany's largest corporate run. The B2Run has become so successful that it now offers a unique team experience in six other European countries and South Africa. As in previous years, Larbig & Mortag Immobilien was represented as a company and took part in the run.
Our first trainee event at Otto-Maigler-See in Hürth was followed immediately by the B2Run, with the aim of strengthening not only the team spirit among the trainees, but also that of the entire Larbig & Mortag team. For this reason, every runner tried their best to represent themselves and the entire team well.
After work, we got ready for the run at around 4 p.m. and helped each other attach our race numbers. Afterwards, we carpooled to the front lawn of the RheinEnergieStadion, where the runners gathered and various advertising stands representing the respective companies were set up. Despite the less than ideal weather conditions, all participants had fun and the atmosphere was exuberant.
At 5:50 p.m., it was finally time. The Larbig & Mortag team lined up at the starting line. We were so motivated that we could hardly wait for the race to begin. After the start, some of us lost sight of each other, but everyone finished with a good lap time. This was also thanks to the energetic support of our colleagues who did not take part in the run. The improving weather also gave the runners an extra boost.
After 40 minutes, the rest of the team crossed the finish line and you could see that everyone had fought hard and given their best. To round off the day perfectly, everyone raised a glass together and looked back on the run.
All in all, we can say that it was an unforgettable day for everyone involved. It was particularly impressive that 23,000 participants from around 1,000 companies took part and created an unforgettable atmosphere.
