Art project: Larbig & Mortag promotes artists

Art from a spray can? Graffiti is illegal, unserious, and has nothing to do with art? One gets the impression that society views it exclusively as vandalism, damage to property, or defacement of the public cityscape. We have given artists the opportunity to put their talent to good use.

Small art project: Graffiti with a difference

Various artists had the opportunity to apply to create an artistic interpretation of our company name. The winner was freelance graffiti artist Dirk Hiekel from Cottbus, who turned his hobby into his profession. The artist gave free rein to his creativity and produced a modern image of the company name, which is impressive and has been adorning the entrance to our Cologne office for some time now. The artist's intention shows that there is more to the graffiti than just scribbling. In addition to colors that match the company, a skyline of the city of Cologne was integrated into the logo, highlighting our special connection to Cologne.

We would like to thank the artist, Dirk Hiekel!

We are proud and grateful to have received this unique and personal work of art. If you can't wait until the next exhibition, you can view more of the artist's work on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dirkhiekel/
